My eight core values
Creative Spirit
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all; we use imagination and artistry to find what clicks for you. I’m an art therapist. Art therapy isn’t about being an artist—it’s about finding a safe way to express what words can’t always hold. Through color, shape, and creativity, words, movement, you get to explore your story, process the hard, and discover new ways to heal and grow.
Resilience – Healing isn’t about never falling; it’s about rising louder and stronger each time. An octopus can lose an arm and still keep moving, hunting, surviving—and over time, it grows that arm back, stronger than before. Resilience is the same: it’s not about avoiding loss or pain, but about regrowing what was broken and finding new strength in the process.
Autonomy – You call the shots. I’m a person-centered therapist and a humanist. Therapy is about helping you own your choices, not handing you a script. For those working through codependence, this means untangling from old patterns of living for others and ones where we earn our worth through others. How does your attachment style show up in relationships? Let’s get into it.
Trauma-Informed Care – No shame, no blame. Safety and trust are the foundation, always. In this space, you don’t have to perform, explain, or hide—we move at your pace, honor your boundaries, and center your story. I embody trauma-informed care by listening deeply, respecting consent at every step, and creating an environment where you feel safe enough to take risks and explore.
Adaptability – Therapy is a lot like being a cephalpod; you learn to adapt, shape-shift, and survive in a world that doesn’t always play fair. Like an octopus slipping through tight spaces, you find creative ways out of what once felt impossible. Like squid blasting ink, you set boundaries and create distance when you need safety. And like cuttlefish flashing colors, you learn to show the world who you are—loud, bold, or quiet, on your own terms. Therapy helps you tap into that same resilience, flexibility, and wild creativity so you can thrive in any current.
Resourcing – You’ve already got power inside you; we’ll dig in and amplify those strengths. You’re not starting from scratch—you’ve got grit, wisdom, and resilience already in your bones. In therapy, we amplify that. And when things get heavy, we map out the supports in your world—friends, family, community, even creativity—so you’ve got anchors to lean on.
Meaning Making – We sift through the chaos and noise to find the story that actually makes sense for your life. As an existential therapist, I sit with you in the big questions—meaning, freedom, identity, connection—and help you explore how to live authentically in the face of uncertainty. Together, we sort through what’s been weighing you down and shape a narrative that’s grounded in your resilience, your choices, and your sense of purpose.
Identity Exploration & Affirmation – Whoever you are, however you show up—you’re valid. This space is built to celebrate and support that truth.
